What conditions and/or diseases do you help?

The NeuroBalance Center specializes in assisting individuals with chronic, progressive disorders that impact mobility and movement. The conditions they focus on include:

  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS): A disease where the immune system attacks the protective covering of nerves, causing communication problems between the brain and the rest of the body. The center provides therapies to manage symptoms like fatigue, balance issues, and muscle weakness.

  • Parkinson’s Disease: A neurodegenerative disorder that affects predominately dopamine-producing neurons in the brain, leading to tremors, stiffness, and difficulty with balance and coordination. The center offers programs to help manage these symptoms and improve quality of life.

  • Stroke: Rehabilitation focuses on helping stroke survivors regain lost functions, improve mobility, and increase independence. This includes exercises to strengthen affected limbs, improve balance, and retrain the brain.

  • Neuromuscular Diseases: Including conditions like Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Muscular Dystrophy, which impair muscle function. The center provides therapies to maintain mobility and manage symptoms.

  • Autoimmune Diseases: Such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, which cause joint and muscle pain, fatigue, and other systemic symptoms. The center’s holistic approach helps manage these conditions through functional medicine and supportive therapies.

  • Traumatic Brain Injury: Symptoms caused by accidents that involve being struck by or against an object, particularly sports-related injuries, pedestrian-involved accidents, as well as accidents involving motor vehicles.

Do I need a doctor’s referral or authorization?

We ask that all clients and class participants be cleared for exercise by a doctor. NeuroBalance Center does not take any insurance, and no referrals are required for NeuroBalance Center programs. If you are seeking insurance-based services provided by one of our in-house partners, a referral may be required.

A doctor’s referral or authorization may be necessary for certain services, particularly those related to physical and occupational therapy or functional medicine. It's recommended to contact the center directly to determine if a referral is required for the services you need. The staff can provide guidance on obtaining referrals and authorizations from healthcare providers. Please contact NeuroBalance Center for additional information at (847) 800-6162.

Is financial aid available?

Financial aid is available through the Access For Everyone (AFE) program. This program provides financial assistance for eligible services such as health and wellness training, personal training, and massage therapy.

To apply for financial aid, you will need to provide proof of household income, and applications are reviewed annually. The goal is to make services accessible to all participants, regardless of their financial situation. The center strives to remove financial barriers to care and ensure that everyone has access to the support they need.

Can I walk in or do I need an appointment?

While walk-ins are accepted for group fitness classes appointments are required for one-on-one services to ensure that you receive personalized and timely service. Scheduling an appointment guarantees that you will have the appropriate attention and care for your specific needs.

By calling ahead, you can also ensure that you are matched with the appropriate specialist for your condition.

Can I tour the facility?

Yes! We highly recommend coming in for a facility tour. We love to show clients our adaptive fitness and wellness options.
